Alden and Jane Ellie's checkup

Alden and Jane Ellis had their checkups today.

Big boy wearing his 18mo shirt and 12 month pants.

Alden was 21lbs 10oz and 30.5 inches of sweetness. He passed his little question air and I'm pretty sure dr welch was impressed ;)

Jane Ellis also had a checkup- her 4 yr checkup! Such a big sweet girl. She was not feeling well and for the first time ever refused to get weighed or her height taken. We finally made (err persuaded) her to let me hold her on the scale. She was about 40lbs and 40inches.

Aubrey wanted it to be her appointment too. She happily did everything the peds would watch her do 😍

Both kids had to have a shot. Boo. Alden had his dtap and prevnar. He ended up having a pretty high fever late that night. But was just fine after some Tylenol. After the peds we went to my sisters house and got to meet miss Hannah grace 😍😍

We had Jane Ellis's 4th birthday party last Saturday!! So much fun! We had it at Gymstars in collierville. There were 11 little friends. Jane Ellis and Aubrey were very timid at first but Jane Ellis quickly got the hang of jumping and climbing and rolling. Aubrey was soon after that.

Jane Ellis loved the foam pit

So did sterling and Clara

The "my little pony" looked fantastic. 😜

Big News!!

Exciting things are going on at the Hill household! We're expecting baby #3 in January!!! We're so shocked and excited!

We haven't told our families yet, we're waiting until 4th of July. But I have a feeling this pooch that I have may give me away before we get to tell!

Chickens please?

So, I think Robert has finally accepted the fact that I'll be bringing chickens home in a few weeks! He was very resistant at first. But now, I think he's just glad I'm not wanting a goat lol Dad, Robert, Leroy, Ray and a little of my guidance have brought this cute -huge- coop to life.

I can't wait until its painted! The girls love their chicks.

This is Molly. Jane Ellis picked her out of a catalogue and named her herself. They are currently growing at my sisters with her chicks.

Baby Brothers Wedding

Last night my dear sweet baby brother married the woman of his dreams.

It was beautiful. Truly. Outside, at sunset, by the water, fresh flowers, white benches, surrounded by family and friends. We are so blessed to have the Barnett family joins ours.

My mom and my brother Ray.

Emma and Jane Ellis got their daddies out on the floor.

Aubrey stayed awake long enough to eat but didn't make it for the dancing.

Our first sick visit

Alden has been fussy and snotty for a couple days. Then yesterday he started running a pretty high fever and last night he cried all night and hardly slept at all. Im a little worried this might be the start of an ear infection. Normally I would try to just treat it at home with garlic infused oil and breast milk in the ears. But with Stephen and Jennifer's wedding this weekend I decided to take Alden to his first sick baby appointment. We went to see uncle Stephen. The girls were so excited.
Alden was 20 lbs and had a fever of 102 :( he was still pretty smiley though (as long as mommy held him). I knew he wasn't feeling well though BC he would hardly nurse. His ears were a little red but no infection. I decided to head it off and just start amoxicillin. I just can't have a sick baby during the wedding.
He has spaghetti for dinner and was pretty happy. Looks like his meds are helping :)

It's go time!

Well, January 18th came and went, just like I knew it would. Nobody believed me when I said our little guy would come after his due date. So many people thought I was crazy for not being induced. And to tell you the truth, I started to believe he was just so comfy, he'd never come out. I was not having any contractions, I was barely 2 cms. I did everything I could to speed up the process. But only one thing worked...

Friday morning I woke up, 40 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Tired, swollen, achey, irritable, excited and tired. (yes, tired is on there twice for a reason) I decided to call my amazing chiropractor and see if she could fit me in. I don't know why I hadn't thought of it earlier, but I wish I had! She said she could see me saturday morning. I prayed it would work!

Saturday morning, at 10:00, mom and I headed to the chiropractor. I told her I was 41 wks and I needed this baby out =) She did her magic. Afterwards mom and I ran to walmart. While we shopped, I began to feel contractions, only every 30 mins or so, but they were fairly strong. I told mom, but we both assumed it was because we were walking around. (I'm always in a little denial when my labor start, because I always assume they'll (for some reason) stall out) After I got home, I drank a little castor oil. Around noon, I met Robert and the girls at his Grandmother's house for lunch. I told him about the contractions (15-20mins apart). I did not tell anyone else however. I'm pretty sure I gobbled that burger up thinking it might be my last until after delivery!

The rest of the day was kind of a blur. We left Robert's grandma's house around 6pm. I went home and did some laundry, packed my bag and loved on the girls. By late that evening I was hurting, bad! Back labor... again. I had horrible back labor with Jane Ellis. It litterally felt as if knives were stabbing me. I was determined to put the girls to bed before I left, but then I started bleeding. Hmmm, "Hey babe! I think you need to call your parents!"

Debbie and Woodson got to the house around 930pm. Both the girlies were in bed, so I was ready to go. We arrived at Methodist Germantown around 1030pm and I was admitted at 1045. The contractions were hard and fast. I wanted a natural delivery, but I was pretty sure with this back labor, there was just no way. I was 8 cm and 90% effaced. I was begging for an epidural. Dr Seymore was at the bedside. I got my epidural, was dosed when I laid back down. Two minutes later my water was broken and I was pushing. It actually helped the pain to push! I pushed for 6 mins. Just when I didn't think I could possibly push anymore (my epidural was not working) the sweetest little 8lbs 8oz 21 inch long perfect baby boy was born at
1220 am. Apgars of 8 and 9. Big blue eyes, and light brown hair. My first baby to do immediate skin to skin and to nurse like a little champ!

October

October- I had my glucose test today. I had to be there at 730. I am not a very good morning person, so I had a VERY small mug of coffee. Apparently, it was enough to cause my fasting glucose to be 105. And my GTT to be 145. The cutoff is 140, so I just declined the 3 hr test. I'm sure I'll be fine =)

We are having a fantasic October. Jane Ellis is still taking violin and is really starting to show interest. She can hold her box violin and will be getting a real one very soon.

We have gone to the zoo a few times since the weather is so nice. This time it was with some amazing friends and their pretty awesome boys- Brady, Fisher and Luke.

The cousins like going to the zoo together too!
