After we got dressed we had to take Aubrey to her 1 yr well baby visit.
She weighs 19lbs 8ozs and 29 3/4 in long.
Her report was good! She had lost a little weight since her last visit, but that is more than likely due to her walking now so no worries :)
After that we took the girls to Cracker Barrel and had breakfast.
Then on to Barnes and Noble. This is a cat book that of course Jane Ellis found.
Aubrey was having a ball trying to pick out a little stuffed kitten.
She really wanted the train table lol
All tuckered out. I think she loved her birthday!
A little about our Aubrey Claire
- she's still nursing on demand all the time. I absolutely love nursing a toddler. Seriously. It's the sweetest thing ever. I am trying to teach her "boundaries" though because she loves to pull my shirt up and down =)
- she loves her vegetables. Peas, green beans, corn, tomatoes, celery, bell pepper. I want to grow a garden just so I can watch her pick veggies and eat them! She loves carbs (of course) but is not a big meat eater. However, she loves her momma's lasagna!
- she's not really talking. She can wave bye, and say momma and dadda. But that's about it. She babbles ALL THE TIME though! So when she does start talking, watch out! She does sign "all done" though!
- She loves to copy Jane Ellis. What ever she is doing AC is right there with her.
- She runs everywhere. She's been walking since 9.5 months and hasn't slowed down. Her recent trick is climbing.
- She loves her momma. AC wants to be held all the time. She does play on her own a little, but if I'm doing something- laundry, cooking, folding clothes- she wants to be on my hip or in the carrier. She pulls and hangs on me and yells for me all the time. But she gives the best snuggles and gives me kisses whenever I ask, so how can I argue with her. And just to be fair, when Robert comes home she's all about her daddy... for about 5 mins! ha!!
- Oh and both girls are still rear-facing in their carseats. I can't stress that enough. I full-heartedly believe in the safety of ERFing. And both girls will be Rfing until the limits of their seats are reached =) Keep your kids safe people!
- Last thing- my little swing (that doesn't swing)-addicted child is now sleeping and napping in her own bed! One night, while I was at work, AC started refusing the swing, so Robert put her in her crib. She settled right down and slept all night. This was just a few weeks before her first birthday. Now she loves her crib! She just needs her blanket, a few little stuffed animals and her paci. She's normally in bed around 8-830 and will wake to nurse around 12 then either sleep till 730 or wake at 5 to nurse and then sleep till 830. We rearranged the girl's room to comfortably fit the glider and now all's well =)
