Baby Bedding

So I found and ordered Jane Ellis's nursery bedding! After looking for weeks and at many, many sites, I finally found it! It's Coco Dot Bedding from Pottery Barn Kids.

I was very particular in what I wanted. Not too much pink and it had to have blue and green. I cannot tell you how many I looked at before I finally decided. I know it may look a little plain but I can't wait to dress it up. I plan on incorporating cute little owls!

Next on my to do list: Find a crib. This will probably take me a few weeks of weighing the pros and cons of a 4:1, the price, safety whether to buy a white one or a cherry one... ugh! Fun times :)

Another great doctors appointment

Today, June 24th, I'm 18 weeks and 3 days and still feeling fantastic! Jane Ellis's heartrate was 140 and the doctor said she was very active... even though I still can't feel her kick :( I've been very busy trying to figure out what bedding I want, and for anyone who know's me, they know I'm extremely particular about certain things... some might call me anal, and that I can't make up my mind about anything without knowing all my options and weiging the pros and cons lol. But I'm not ocd... go figure! I'll update on what I choose :)

We're having a...

As of today, June 11, I am 16 weeks and 3 days. Robert and I have decided that we cannot possibly wait any longer to find out what we're having. We gathered our families - his parents, my mom and grandma, my sister and of course Emma, my dad had to work :( - and headed over to Memphis to http://www.4dfirstimpressions.com/ . It's a great place that specializes in gender determination so you can know early what you are having :) They can tell you a month before your doctor will since most Dr's don't tell you until you're at least 20 weeks... It was so much fun! Afterwards, Robert's dad treated us all to Red Lobster... It was an amazing day.

So here it is, the reason we came... It's a girl!!

Meet Jane Ellis!

Prettiest Girl I've EVER Seen!!!

As of April, not too much is going on these days. Robert and I are working hard as ever, and in our spare time we take care of Orange Kitty, Daisy Doodles, and love on our beautiful niece Emma Laine. Life is pretty great, especially since I have not had one day of morning sickness. Thank you Lord! He truly knows how to be gracious :)

Our beautiful, and too smart for her own good, doggy Daisy Doodles

Our beautiful niece Emma at 12 weeks

Baby Hill at 12 weeks. It's a little blurry because we took this at work :)
Baby Hill at 14 weeks, again, taken at work lol

Baby Hill's First Dr Appointment

We had our first dr appointment April 29. I was 10 weeks and to mine and Robert's surprise we were able to have an ultrasound!

Yes, we know... it's the cutest baby you've ever seen :)

Why this Blog

I decided to start a blog to help me remember all the great things going on in our lives. And to also help me remember this whole process of Robert and I, as we turn into Mom and Dad.

I found out I was pregnant on Thursday, March 18 after working the night before, therefore Robert was not home when I found out... he was at work. There was no way I could call and tell him, so I had to wait ALL day until he got home. Well, I had to work that night and didn't see him, so it was torture not being able to tell him until FRIDAY NIGHT! AHHH! But, don't worry, I didn't tell anyone at work... the secret was safe :) I bought steaks, made a baked potato and salad and bought him a cake that said "Congrats DAD". Needless to say, he was just as ecstatic as I was! Whoop Whoop :) We're having a baby!

Oh and we were a little surprised at how quickly it happened... so yes, I wanted to make sure it was real!
